Fat-Burning Green Drink

Here is the green fat burner drink that I promised to share.  While making it, I thought about the benefits of the individual ingredients.  I believe we may be on to something special with this fat-burning green drink.  I am excited! 20170427_171416

You all know that lemons are a favorite of mine because of their benefits and nutritional value. Lemons contain vitamin C, citric acid, flavonoids, B-complex vitamins, calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, and fiber.  Lemons contain more potassium than apples or grapes. Potassium is beneficial to the heart. Lemons are a great stimulant to the liver and is a dissolvent of uric acid and other poisons, liquefies the bile.

Cucumbers also have impressive health benefits.  Cucumbers keep you hydrated, flush out toxins, and supply skin-friendly minerals:  magnesium, potassium, and silicon.

Ginger is loaded with nutrients and bioactive compounds that have powerful benefits for your body and brain.  Ginger contains gingerol, a substance with powerful medicinal properties.  Ginger is highly effective against nausea.  Ginger is also effective against exercise-induced muscle pain.

Parsley is an excellent source of vitamin K and vitamin C as well as a good source of vitamin A, folate and iron.

Last, water is powerful alone.  Water increases energy, promotes weight loss, flushes out toxins, boosts the immune system and maintains regularity.

I don’t think I need to say anymore.  Get excited and get some!  This drink will aid in weight loss if you are trying to shed some pounds.  The lemon and parsley flavors are very noticeable.  The recipe yields about 12 fluid ounces.  I doubled the ingredients and made 24 ounces–saving some for later. 20170427_171807

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • A handful parsley leaves
  • 1/3 cup of water

Instructions

Blend all the ingredients until smooth before drinking.  It is recommended that you consume the green fat-burning drink every evening before going to bed.

Instead of tossing and turning in bed, I found myself on the computer doing some research for about 2 hours.
